Peak Adventures foraging courses are held in different areas of South Wales and at different times of year to offer you the best and most enjoyable foraging experience.

Each course is run by an expert in the field of foraging who will impart their knowledge and experience throughout the day. This course mainly focusses on food and edible plants. You will also be introduced to some medicinal uses of foraged plants.

These courses are suitable for both novice and experienced foragers and there is something for everyone.

Gower Coastal Foraging Experience

Sunday 3rd November 2024 and Sunday 2nd November 2025

This course covers coastal plants such as Samphire, seaweed, mushrooms, greens and berries, and lasts around 4/5 hours, covering around 10km in distance. You will explore the coastal path and beaches for edible plants and other interesting things.

The courses run in all weathers so come prepared for a day outside exploring the wonders of South Wales.

We start at 10am promptly and joining instructions will be sent nearer the date.

Rivers, Falls & Forest Foraging Experience

Sunday 18th May 2025 (Dan-yr-Ogof) and Sunday 14th September 2025 (Pontneddfechan)

Our autumn foraging option is in 2025 in the beautiful Neath valley around Pontneddfechan and Dan-yr-Ogof. This course covers around 8km to 10 km and is on easy going riverside paths. Its fungi time, so lots of different types of edible mushrooms to be foraged. This course also looks at lots of other edible plantlike. Again this course is 5hrs in duration.

We’ll look at plants and fungi that can be found at this time of year within the Neath Valley.

We start at 10am promptly and joining instructions will be sent nearer the date.
